The Venus Human Trap was a bizarre and deadly Furon weapon.
Overview[]
The Venus Human Trap is a carnivorous alien plant that sprouts from a spore ejected from its gun. Unlike the Burrow Beast, a similar weapon, the Venus Human Trap will only stay in one place, forcing Crypto to feed it humans by putting them in the plant's tentacles via PK.
The Venus Human Trap starts with two tentacles, but with upgrades (or if the Trap has eaten enough), it grows up to six tentacles and gains the ability to vomit up the Brains of its victims. It also can eat vehicles; including Tanks and Helicopters, although the latter requires an upgrades.
The plant’s life-force will slowly decreases over time, and can somehow be replenished by Transmogrify. If another spore is planted, the the first Venus Human Trap will sink into the ground and die.
Trivia[]
- Orthopox states that only one Venus Human Trap may be used at a time, otherwise they would turn on each other.
- As stated by Pox, Venus was once a lush and fertile jungle planet, until the Martian War.
- If Crypto fires a Venus Human Trap Spore, any enemies will attack it rather than Crypto: they register it as a greater threat than Crypto.
- The Venus Human Trap can't spawn on the Fourth Ring of Furon outside of Funky Town. (however it could spawn in the mission where you got clone jelly in the human cage that Crypto abducts humans from).
- In Destroy All Humans! 2, Crypto has the option to "show disrespect for plant life" when talking to Orthopox about finding the White Ninja Compound in Takoshima - In doing so, he will mention "Carniverous fly-traps on Venus" as well as "Acid pods on Centauri" to support his argument that "Plants are EVIL, man!"
