A US Majestic agent.

Majestic was a secretive international agency that sought world domination through government manipulation and control. However, they hid their true intentions by protecting the public from alien threats.

Beginning in the United States under the leadership of Silhouette, adviser of President Huffman, Majestic expanded widely across the Earth and was stationed in various regions including Great Britain, France, Argentina, and Mongolia. The group are the initial antagonists of Destroy All Humans!.

The head of the British branch of Majestic, known as “Majestic Command 16th Sector” or “M16” (which posed under the name MI6), was Reginald Ponsonby-Smythe.

Destroy All Humans![]

"It's only logical. My organization has the skills, the specialists. But up to now, we've been a federal agency operating on a limited scale... This new threat, however, demands a radical new concept of national defense."
―Silhouette to Armquist[src]

A US Majestic agent in the Remaster.

Not much was known about Majestic or their true origins, as they were a very secretive organization. What was known, however, was that they sought to destroy the Furons with anti-alien super weapons and dominate the world, possibly to unite it in defence against extraterrestrial threats. How many members Majestic had was also unknown, but they had various divisions spread across the globe and employed all manner of workers, scientists and agents.

In Destroy All Humans!, Majestic was in control of the United States Government and used President Huffman as a puppet in their plans. Under Silhouette's leadership, Majestic did all they could to take complete control of America and eventually the world. When Cryptosporidium 136 arrived on Earth, Silhouette took him in for experimentation, which killed him in the process.

Furthermore, one of the US Army’s greatest weapons, the Power Suit, had recently been developed by Majestic for the use of US soldiers.

Turnipseed Farm[]

When Crypto destroyed the Army unit at Turnipseed Farm, two Majestic Agents arrived at the scene. One of them told the other to alert Silhouette and that: "Roswell was only the beginning. The invasion is on!".

Santa Modesta[]

Crypto and Pox were first aware of Majestic in Santa Modesta, where they overheard the agents from the farm talking about using TV broadcasts to brainwash the United States. Crypto killed them before they got to the station and collected their briefcase, which contained information about controlling American minds by use of television. A Majestic Scientist known as Sleepy Ernst waited at the TV Station for orders and Crypto scanned him, discovering that Ernst was going to make Americans his experimental guinea pigs.

Pox ordered Crypto to kill Ernst and destroy his car. After the scientist had been successfully vaporized, he then ordered Crypto to bend the TV antennas in the direction of the Mothership in order to receive his own mind control signal. Crypto succeeded in doing that, but the signal was too strong for Human minds, and, one by one, humans ran amok through the streets while their heads exploded. Pox then ordered Crypto to collect the 12 overloaded Brain Stems and 300 DNA from living humans for scientific purposes.

Crypto's next mission was to scan four scientists to retrieve information about adding chemicals to restaurant food to make humans hostile to anyone who was deemed “different.” Pox didn't stand for that and commanded Crypto to destroy the Majestic-operated diners. After they heard of the atrocity, Majestic sent a military patrol and a convoy of their own agents to stop Crypto. After Crypto destroyed the threat, he landed his Saucer, captured a Majestic Agent, and interrogated him. After some interrogation with the Jumbo Probe, the agent revealed that Majestic was trying to brainwash the citizens of Rockwell at the town’s drive-in movie theater.

Rockwell[]

Upon arriving at the town of Rockwell, Crypto overheard a Majesic agent talking to Silhouette. Pox suggested that instead of killing them, Crypto should retrieve a filmstrip that he prepared for the theater. Crypto then replaced the Majestic filmstrip with Pox's. Not long after, Majestic agents tried to destroy the projector, but failed.

Return to Santa Modesta[]

Crypto then returned to Santa Modesta and destroyed $20,000 worth of Majestic property, and demolished one of their bases that had been disguised as a motel. After that, Crypto was assigned to capture a well-known television host called Bert Whither, who had a strong influence on Americans. After he was captured, Whither broadcast a message from the TV Station across the nation, which revealed Majestic's existence and stated that the Furons wanted to "befriend all humans". During that broadcast, Pox and Crypto became aware of Armquist, the top General of the US Army, who tried to stop the broadcast, but was unsuccessful and retreated to Area 42.

Area 42[]

After leaving Santa Modesta, Crypto and Pox traveled to Area 42 to rescue Crypto 136, but found out that he was dead. Furious, Crypto destroyed any remains of his “brother” and his Saucer, and became even more determined to destroy humanity. Later, Crypto learned that scientists had created PSI Mutants  via a “dash of Furon DNA.” Crypto destroyed the mutants, the Tesla Coils protecting them, and then demolished the entire Area 42 Majestic Base.

For his final mission at Area 42, Crypto needed to destroy the Area 42 Airfield by using an atomic bomb in an attempt to assassinate Armquist. To do that, Crypto hypnotized the truck’s driver, who drove the truck away from the Area 42 Nuclear Test Site and into the airfield. Crypto then had to prevent the bomb from being disarmed for 30 seconds and had just 60 seconds to get clear of the blast radius.

Union Town[]

Infuriated by the destruction of the airfield, Silhouette ordered Armquist to go to Capitol City. Armquist was resistant, but due to Silhouette's higher authority, he went to Capitol City, and Crypto followed close behind in his Saucer. After Crypto tested the Quantum Deconstructor back in Santa Modesta, he went to Union Town, where he was unexpectedly taken down by a Tesla Coil and was imprisoned in a cage. Crypto escaped, found his gun and Jetpack, found the missing power cells that were needed to power his saucer, and destroyed the island base.

Afterwards, Crypto went to Capitol City and overheard Armquist and Silhouette discussing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Majestic being united under one branch of government. Armquist refused, but had no choice. Armquist then went to Union Town to rendezvous with the other Joint Chiefs of Staff. Then, Crypto disguised himself as the Navy Admiral. He then infiltrated the meeting, went against everything that Armquist said, and convinced the other Joint Chiefs to leave. Crypto then revealed himself to Armquist, who punched him and retreated to his Power Suit. In the end, Crypto destroyed Armquist's Power Suit and disintegrated him next to its burning remains.

Capitol City[]

Crypto then returned to Capitol City, where he assassinated President Huffman and wiped out Congress. After that, Crypto destroyed the various Tesla Coils that had been installed across the city, which threatened the Furon’s invasion force. Silhouette then apparently attempted to surrender Earth to Crypto, but, in reality, planned to destroy him once and for all. Silhouette mentioned Crypto 136's death, which angered Crypto. After a brief struggle, "he" was actually revealed to be a "she", and Silhouette summoned Robo-Prez, a 50-foot tall robot that was controlled by Huffman's brain.

Crypto destroyed Robo-Prez with his Saucer, before meeting Silhouette at the Octagon, where he defeated her. Before she died, however, Silhouette revealed that Majestic had agencies all over the world, and that America was not the only country inhabited by humans.

FURON HANDBOOK[]

Note: In the original Destroy All Humans!, all Majestic agents were equipped with advanced weaponry.

Basic Majestic[]

These agents are clad in very dark, formal clothing. Their "secret" missions are painfully obvious to even the lowest-level Furon observer, and they take orders from a mysterious leader. Their weapons pose only a slightly elevated threat to invaders, as their "pieces" are variants on typical human weapons.

"Whatever would Mr. Pox and Mr. Crypto do if the men in very dark brown weren't always discussin' their plans? Shoot, I can even detect'em from this here mothership!" - Gastro-999.

Enhanced Majestic[]

These agents have been issued weapons that have been modeled on stolen Furon technology! Besides their "upgraded" handguns, these hilarious imitations range from electrical coils that "shock" to giant, but inferior, clones with psionic powers. For further information on human attempts to copy Furon clones, refer to the section on "Psi Mutants."

"All I have to say is: none of 'em are fit to scrub a Waste Recycle-O-Tron fit for Mr. Pox's needs." - Gastro-999.

Cortex Scan - Majestic Thoughts[]

Majestic agent thoughts when Cortex Scanned;

"Why does Silhouette give me these jobs? I wonder if it's because I hit on her at the Majestic Christmas Party? Wait, no one is even supposed to know Silhouette's a chick. Scratch that thought!"

"Wonder what I'd look like in some other color? I hear brown is the new black."

"What if the other guys notice? Oh who cares, lace feels so comfortable under this suit."

"You people make me sick. Pathetic humans!"

"I could take that guy. And that guy. And her."

"I know what you're thinking ladies. And yes, I'm available."

"Man - I am good! How good? Mmmmmm - SO GOOD!"

"God, I look good. Scratch that - I LOOK REAL GOOD!"

"Uh-oh. What'd I do with my gun? It's not in my holster. Not in my pants. Oh, it's in my hand."

"I like Huffman. But I'll kill him in a second if I get the order."

"Look at these people! Weak. Pathetic. Without us, they'd be toast."

"Look at me again, punk. I dare ya. I double dare ya. I double-dog dare ya."

"I have to report to Hoover again. Please God, let him be wearing pants this time."

"What am I thinking? I could tell you - but then I'd have to kill you."

By 1969, only the British division of Majestic, “Majestic Command 16th Sector” or simply “M16,” was still active as the sole remnant of the organization. All previous divisions had been destroyed by the Blisk.

It’s possible that the British Majestic Sector had survived where others did not by masquerading as a “normal” government intelligence agency. This agency was known as “Military Intelligence Section 6” or just “MI6” to anyone outside of Majestic itself.

In contrast to Majestic’s American division, who had actively manipulated their President, British agents appeared to hold the Crown in particularly high regard, and were even said to be “at Her Majesty’s service.”

Events[]

MI6 first presented themselves as allies to the Furons and were the sworn enemies of the KGB. However, Ponsonby later betrayed and captured Crypto in order to interrogate him. Natalya freed Crypto, who then headed to deal the last blow to Majestic and killed Posonby in a battle at Hyde Park, which seemingly destroyed whatever was left of the agency.

However, despite Ponsonby's death and his declaration that Majestic was finished, it appeared that M16 still survived to some extent, as Crypto (disguised as an M16 agent) later helped them catch a rogue agent who had disappeared and defected to the KGB. Meanwhile, M16 agents continued to protect key sites in Albion.

Agents, Equipment and Operations[]

"Attention, alien freak. Give yourself up. You have ten seconds to lay down your weapons and hypnotize yourself into a coma. Ready? 10… 9… 8… 7654321! Hot damn, fire!"

Concept art for various Majestic weapons from Destroy All Humans! Remake.

Majestic agents always wore a dark suit, although there was a level of variation for each nation. The American division typically wore fedoras while the British wore sunglasses. Destroy All Humans! Remake added additional American agents who wore black waistcoats and white shirts.

Each Majestic agent was equipped with a single armament: the Americans had blue blaster guns and a green, shotgun-like rifle, both of which were reverse-engineered from Furon Technology. However, the Remake limited these weapons to agents encountered later in the storyline. Those encountered earlier by Crypto are instead equipped with basic “pieces” and Thompson submachine guns.

The British division of Majestic didn't have the same advances as their American cousins. Instead, their agents wielded powerful “golden guns” and rapid-firing submachine guns.

Each Majestic division was very close to the central government and the military of their country. From what was seen, Majestic appeared to be very anti-Communist and some appeared to be Atheists. Due to a combination of keeping the secret of intelligent extraterrestrial life and a desire for world domination, Majestic was more than willing to manipulate or assassinate political leaders.

Oddly enough, leaving Majestic appeared to be a viable choice and appeared to be easy, at least according to The Freak.

Trivia[]

  • There was a real-life version of Majestic-12, who were in charge of monitoring UFO activities from 1947-1999. Meanwhile, MI6 directly refers to the United Kingdom's Secret Service.
  • According to the mission, “South by Southwest,” an individual agent cost Majestic around $450, while a car cost $4000.
  • Pox often calls American Majestic agents variatons of the term “Men in Black.” This includes the “Men in Really Really Dark Brown,” the “Dudes in Dark” and “Los Hombres de Negro,” all of which are references to the Men in Black film franchise, as well as the real life folklores of Men In Black in ufology.
  • The golden pistols wielded by British Majestic agents are likely a reference to the famed “Golden Gun” from the James Bond franchise.
  • It is revealed while performing Odd Jobs in Albion that British Majestic agents are given numerical codenames, with Algernon being known as “Agent 104” and another as “Agent 71.” This is a reference to the James Bond series, where the titular character is also known as “Agent 007.”
