The “Japan Ground Self-Defense Force,” known internationally as the Japanese Army, is the primary military force of Japan in Destroy All Humans! 2.

Overview[]

The “Takoshima Defense Force” is a local Japanese Army unit based in a small camp southeast of Takoshima City, north of Gouka Road, and west of Zen Temple.

Japanese soldiers stationed in Takoshima wear tan uniforms with a patch of the Rising Sun flag, a turtleshell hat, and a headband emblazoned with the symbol of the Rising Sun. Their vehicles are dark brown in colour and have the Japanese flag painted on the sides of them.

Despite being relatively few in number, Takoshima’s local military is well-trained - While they use SAM launchers, turrets and Tanks like most armies, they also use high-tech Maser Tanks. The soldiers carry submachine guns, and do not field revolver-wielding officers like other military forces encountered by Crypto. But some soldiers (And sometimes Yakuza) Wield Type 99 Light machine guns

Much like other armies, the Takoshima Defence Force will appear once Crypto's Alert Level reaches Yellow or higher. At Yellow, they will send out APCs and Maser Tanks, while at Orange and Red, they send out SAM launchers and Tanks.

Japanese Army In Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed[]

The takoshima army has received improvements as well as all the armies in the game of Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed, its appearance has become more realistic, consistent with its part of real life, the military vehicles have had their design changed and the power suit Soldier also appears in takoshima at the alert level, shooting with a machine gun spear grenades and attacking crypto with melee attacks if crypto is close. In addition the soldiers have changed now having variants such as the minigun soldier and the soldier who uses rocket launchers. The regular soldier and all other variants received no AI improvements just shooting at the player without having any strategies that prevent crypto from killing them easily. The armored vehicle received a version with a machine gun turret that appears in all cities when the player advances too far in the game's story.
