James Grandee was a famous scientist who went around exposing urban legends and set his sights on the Lunarian Church of Alientology. Deep Navel asked Crypto to kidnap Grandee and make him publicly admit that he believed in aliens. Crypto destroyed the Francodyne Nuclear Plant to draw Grandee out, abducted him with the Saucer, and tortured him to achieve his end. Grandee was later seen with Dr. C. Curt Calvin at the Sunnywood Bowl.
