Gas Pumping Machines, also known as Reactors, are buildings only seen in Destroy All Humans! 2.
Overview[]
They are used by the Blisk to pump radioactive gas into their bases, specifically the Blisk Warship in Tunguska and the Blisk Hive on Solaris.
When Cryptosporidium first encounters one of the machines in Tunguska, Orthopox remarks that an organic machine like it seems far beyond the "primitive capabilities" of Humans. Crypto can destroy the machines using fuel rods obtained by Sergei, causing them to detonate in a deadly, radioactive explosion that will kill Crypto if he is too close.
Later, another Blisk Reactor is used in the Blisk base on Solaris. The gas it generates will impede Natalya Ivanova, so Crypto must overload the reactor using radioactive rocks that litter the path leading through the base.
