Dr. Go! was a Japanese scientist and a minor character in Destroy All Humans 2!. He is the spiritual leader of the White Ninjas and a former associate of the KGB.
Overview[]
Much of Dr. Go's history prior to the events of Destroy all Humans 2 is left unknown, but he had previously sought a relationship with fellow Japanese scientist Professor Yuki. He had also been an associate of the KGB stationed in Takoshima City, where he and Yuki became colleagues of the leader Sascha Soysorski. The three of them had been close enough to each be entrusted with parts of an access code to the secret KGB Base inside the volcano.
Eventually, Sascha Soysorski began a relationship with Yuki, leading the jealous Dr. Go to sever his ties to the KGB and turn against them. It is unknown whether he was a member of the White Ninjas before or after these events, although his defection may have led to an allegiance between the KGB and the Black Ninjas. At some point before the events of the game, Dr. Go was kidnapped by the KGB and held hostage in Castle Kuro by the Black Ninjas, while his briefcase with the secret code was taken to the Black Ninja Base.
Cryptosporidium first learns about Dr. Go from the White Ninjas during the mission “Revenge of The Ninja”, and is later informed of his current location by Natalya in the mission “Dr. Go!”. Reluctantly, Crypto is sent to rescue him from the castle, and Dr. Go immediately recognizes him as a Furon and therefore an ally. Despite Crypto's threatening demands for the information, Dr. Go outwits him by withholding it until his protection was assured. Sascha Soysorski sends KGB agents to the castle to kill them both, but Crypto and Dr. Go fight off the agents and the ninjas before making their escape.
In the following mission “Our Man Crypto”, Dr. Go instructs Crypto to find his three codes, while also confessing his love for Professor Yuki and his disdain for Sascha Soysorski. Crypto retrieves his code and is told to then retrieve the next code from his ex-girlfriend Professor Yuki. Dr. Go states his confidence in reuniting with her after escaping from the Black Ninjas and Crypto probes for details about the relationship, to which Dr. Go pleads for him to not murder her.
Crypto returns and requests the third code's location, and Dr. Go enthusiastically directs him toward Sascha Soysorski. Dr. Go revels in the knowledge that Soysorski has been suffering depressing following the loss of his "Yukuschka", and states that the only way to make him leave was to destroy the entire KGB Headquarters. Crypto is inquisitive of Dr. Go's implication to assassinate Soysorski, to which Dr. Go feigns ignorance. After Soysorski's death, Dr. Go no longer has competition for Yuki's heart.
Dr. Go is unseen for the rest of the game, though it's implied that he would go on to reunite with Yuki. However, Crypto claims that Yuki was now all his "... for the moment", implying Crypto's belief that they would break up again even without Soysorski's interference.

Trivia[]
- Dr. Go! was obviously based on Dr. Julius No, an antagonist from James Bond.
- His design and relevance to the plot may be a reference to Dr. Daisuke Serizawa, a major character from the original Godzilla film.
