The Burrow Beast in Destroy All Humans! 2.

The Burrow Beast was a fearsome alien monster that was used as a weapon by the Furons.

Overview[]

Destroy All Humans! 2[]

The Burrow Beast was summoned by launching a special lure, which caused the underground worm-creature to chase and devour any targets that strayed near it. The lure could also be moved with Psychokinesis or even Transmogrified, which yielded huge amounts of ammo.

The creature was not effective against buildings, vehicles, or anything other than Humans. The Burrow Beast was the "Super Weapon" that Shama Llama told Crypto about and was also a “Hidden Weapon” that was gifted to Crypto after he found 30 Alien Artifacts and completed all of the Cult of Arkvoodle's missions.

The Burrow Beast had presumably lain dormant since Arkvoodle's arrival on Earth, although it was unknown what happened to it after the events of Destroy All Humans! 2. It can be assumed that the creature simply returned to Arkvoodle and began to slumber once more.

Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed[]

The Burrow Beast on the attack in Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed.

Instead of a lure, the Burrow Beast's bait launcher now fires grenades that splash bait spray onto nearby humans upon impact, marking them for attack. The Burrow Beast will then attack and devour any marked humans, and may also attack bystanders that have not been marked. Once enough time has passed with no marked humans remaining, the Burrow Beast will become dormant again.

Furon Handbook[]

Formerly believed to be an entirely mythological Furon creature, this underground dwelling beast feasts on the flesh of bipedal humanoid lifeforms. Chronically ill-tempered and perpetually ravenous, it can be lured to the surface where it will devour any humans in the vicinity. They can run, but they can't hide.

Bait an ancient monster into eating enemies by marking them with grenades filled with a substance the Burrow Beast cannot resist. The beast will eat bystanders as well, but it prefers properly prepared prey. If the supply of accessible, sprayed targets disappears, it will eventually leave.

PseudoPox: "Age: Ancient. Gender: Indeterminate. Favorite Scent: Fright."

Trivia[]

  • The replacement for the Burrow Beast in Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon was called the Venus Human Trap. Instead of burrowing underground, the Venus Human Trap sprouted from the ground, grabbed humans and vehicles, and ate them.
  • The Burrow Beast was known to devour teammates in co-op play.
  • Before he gave it to Crypto, Arkvoodle enjoyed the Burrow Beast's snoring, because it was relaxing and helped him sleep.
  • The Burrow Beast bore a striking resemblance to the Graboid worm creatures from Tremors.
  • In the PS4 Version, the Burrow Beast could devour the Blisk.
