The Abduct-O-Beam was used as a weapon in the Saucer and was featured in every Destroy All Humans! game.
Overview[]
In Destroy All Humans!, the Abduct-O-Beam was only used to pick up objects, Humans, vehicles, and animals. In the Remake, the Abduct-O-Beam retains the ability to drain power, and can also fling abducted objects and humans at targets to deal heavy damage. It was also revealed that Furon Motherships carry a much larger and more powerful version of the Abduct-O-Beam. However, the beam of Crypto and Pox's mothership could only remain locked-on for short periods of time due to Earth’s axial rotation and the ship sustaining damage when it entered the planet’s orbit. Furthermore, newly introduced “Abduction Challenges” involved Crypto throwing objects into the mothership's Abduct-O-Beam so that Pox could use them for study.
In Destroy All Humans! 2, the Abduct-O-Beam was used for abducting various humans and mixing their DNA together in the Gene Blender. Also, the beam could pick up vehicles and Drain their power, allowing the Saucer to repair itself.
In Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon, it was used to abduct humans and drained power from vehicles.
Furon Handbook[]
Abduct-O-Beam (Saucer)
The junior version of the far more powerful Abduct-O-Beam on the mothership. One of the Furons' signature weapons, it's designed to terrify the local populace, suspending any creature or object in mid-air, then releasing it!
"They jest kinda floated back down to the surface on Mars. The thud things make here on Earth is jest so much more... satisfyin'!" - Gastro-999.
Abduct-O-Beam (Mothership)
The Colossal Abduct-O-Beam is used for planetary abductions and transfers of initial test subjects to the mothership. Nothing is too large or too small to be abducted. The current time window available for transfers of test subjects to the mothership is very small, due to the Atmospheric Defense System taking a hit upon entering Earth's orbit. Make every abduction count!
"This is Mr. Pox's favorite part. But who has to clean it up once he's had his fun? I'll give you three guesses, an' the first two don't count!" - Gastro-999.
